Jared, a grouchy farmer, meets Allegra Howard, the daughter of a famous Hollywood movie director. Allegra spends most of her time in Scotland with her sister (book 3) until her visa tells her she has to leave for 60 days and then she comes back. Once immigration lets her know that once this time is up, she can’t come back, she approaches Jared for a fake 18-month marriage. 

The two met 5 years ago, had an instant attraction but the moment he found out who she was, he bailed and was cold to her for then on out. The fake marriage and forced proximity makes him realize, she’s the one. 

Like most of Young’s books, something mysterious is happening to the protagonist. It’s a romance with a “what’s happening” on the side!  I can’t wait for book #5!

This was really good. I loved the marriage of convenience aspect of this. There just were a few things that I felt were unresolved or rushed.
