I honestly loved the entire book - except the ending. The last 2 chapters were SO rushed. There were still like 3 or 4 loose strings to tie up and they just conveniently all went together and it just didn't fit right. I feel like we needed several more chapters and could've really done the ending justice.

i just cannot get enough of these Scottish men!!!
i’ve said it a million times before (after every single one of these Adair/Highlands books in fact) but good lord these men truly are the blueprint. and Jared really did steal a large chunk of my heart. the way that man would’ve gone to war for Allegra😩😩😩😩😩
i’m an absolute sucker for a marriage of convenience plot, especially when the couple have already been hiding feelings for so long. it fit the same mould that the rest of these books have but honestly i don’t even care at this point because i’m eating them up!

I really enjoyed this one, I will say that I didn't really enjoy that there was a third act breakup (albeit a short one) considered how far into the book it was before they even got their relationship started for real.
I wish Allegra's parents had more of a punishment considering how royally they had messed up. Otherwise the spicy scenes were great especially their first time!
This series has been alot of fun.

Nando’s Spice Rating: Medium / Hot
(Medium content wise)
I don’t think I’ve read a Scottish romance before so definitely a new thing for me. Ultimately, I think the other tropes in this book were what kept me going.
I think the book lacked depth… like the romance could’ve been developed more, the mystery could’ve been developed more etc etc
Overall, it was what I needed right now: something quick, easy to read and enjoyable.
