I thought this was pretty great & creepy & sinister. Personally I can't see it being for kids, but maybe it depends on the kid! Probably good to check out before giving to a kid, though.

A dark and soft tale of a doll left behind in an environment that is cruel and strange.

My first time to have read a novel by Elena Ferrante. Her works especially the Neapolitan Quartet are always acclaimed here.
This is a short novel intended for children, but if adults read it,they may perceive the story to be dark, eerie, figurative, and puzzling since it turns out to be a companion to her novel The Lost Daughter.

I think this is a wrong starting point.I should begin with her debut Troubling Love.

It´s interesting that Elena Ferrante has been a nom de plume since 1992. 🤔

Strange little book - the songs are just creepy

This is a children's short story that is not only a children's short story. A lost doll can become the most existentialist tale of human kind. Ferrante revisits some places and topics she recreates in the Napolitan series and The Lost Daughter in such a brief-deep way.
dark reflective tense

This was a short creepy story that I enjoyed.
