Wow! Once again MJ Arlidge manages to get you hooked from the first page!
I love the writing style and the short chapters make you feel like you're reading it quicker.
Helen Grace is so perfectly imperfect and I think that's why I love her character so much. This was definitely a battle of putting her own feelings aside to run the team after what she had been through in the last book. I didn't expect one of the losses and I think that has really hit her hard and makes me wonder now if she'll start doing things 'by the book'.

I know what I'm getting with a Helen Grace book. A tormented Detective Inspector roaring around Southampton on a motorbike, incredibly short chapters and a thrilling build up to the final scenes. Exactly what I wanted, and I have the next in the series on my shelf ready to pick up.

Easy read. Which is what I like. Finished it in two days. As always, Arlidge has delivered. I loved the story. The short timeline - no messing about. Daisy was a character. And her life of poor treatment showed through. And it was great how the villain was thought to be man but turned out to be 'his' accomplice. However, as much as I loved this book. I didn't look favourable on how the story ended with the funeral of Sanderson.
