Not my cup of tea. Read nearly 3/4 before I just couldn’t stomach the disgusting Teacher-Student dynamic. Ben is a predator preying on a 19-year old kid and it’s gross.
“LOLITA” IS NOT A SEXY TERM OF ENDEARMENT. She was not some hot 19 year old temptress. Dolores was a CHILD who was RAPED by a pedophile who nicknamed her “Lolita” as he groomed and molested her for years.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, pretend you’ve read at least the Cliffnotes before you spend the entire book having your MMC call his younger love interest “Lolita” for fuck’s sake.
Also “culling” is not the same as “cultivating” or whatever fucking word the author was reaching for with this absolutely insane sentence—
“He had all of her in his arms now, surrounding his body, and the possessive instinct she’d been culling inside him went off like a cannon shot.”
Oh and then the MMC’s father apparently was the “victim” of a vicious girl who showed him a fake ID and then cried statutory rape. So thanks for contributing to rape culture with that ridiculous plot point.
This might just be the worst book I’ve ever read. Ugh.

I didn't enjoy reading Ben and Honey's book. Ben was an asshat. I can't wait for Abby and Rissell's book.

Ben was repeatedly a douchecanoe but I cannot sit here and tell you all that I hate him
I did really enjoy it & another quick read—I just wish it would’ve been a little longer to really strengthen their connection. I feel like they fell in love without truly knowing each other so I missed that part of it. I’m glad TB started making her books a little longer in the recent years because it does make a big difference!
Maybeee 3.5 stars
I want to be generous because Honey and Ben were by far my favorite couple in the Broke and Beautiful series.
Honey, a 19/20 year old college student going for her hunky 25 year old professor?! Hot Damn.
Not only was he obsessed with her physically but he was obsessed with her mind before he knew what she even looked like. One chance encounter in a closet changed EVERYTHING and now Ben has to decide what is more important to him. Maintaining his career or going for the girl he wants.
I wouldn't say there was any miscommunication but definitely some personal concerns he could've been up front with Honey about but regardless, this man knows how to grovel.

Whewwwwww, loved this "hot for teacher" story. Ben and Honey are great characters. Loved their stories and their romance.
I finished this purely to give it one star because OML this is not how colleges/professors/students are!!!
