I loved loved loved loved it! I completely forgot all about this! The last time that this crossed my mind was when I finished the first book. When I was reminded of it, I was so excited and so freaking out that I forgot! Good thing I was able to read and finish it immediately. <3 <3 <3
I'm so happy! :>
Okay, so here's the review...
When I read that Drew was going to a party at that new place, I immediately knew that he will see Fable working there. When she went to his house, I just wanted to cry. :'( It's just ... ugh! So unexplainable. My heart breaks for the both of them. It hurts so damn much.
In the morning, Fable found Drew's tattoo, in which he used the letters of her name. "You've turned me into a poet, Fable." ♥ ♥
Blah blah let's skip to the middle of the story. I hate how Owen can't see that their stupid mother doesn't care about them. Ugh. He actually thinks that their mother loves him, and that Fable was being a bitch. I hated Owen. :(
Blah blah skip to the crazy Adele. Ugh. She's such a freak. Really. Ruining people's lives and all. Not cool, bro.
And the ending! WHEEEEE I wanted to scream and squeal and celebrate! ♥ ♥
D + F = ♥ :')
**I would totally love it if Colin and Owen had a book of their own. Or just Colin. :)))

I am equally impressed with book two! Good job Monica Murphy. One thank heavens that Drew woke up and came to his senses. A huge step in the right direction. While I would love to say I loved every aspect of this book I can't. I hate! HATE! Hate! How Adelle got off in this book. That crazy ass woman deserved to rot in prison. But she opted for the easy way out. Let me make this clear: suicide is no joke. It's horrible, tragic, and devastating. While I can't imagine the type of pain one must feel in order to go through with such an act, I feel she would have suffered more in other ways. She deserved to suffer the want she had caused Andrew to suffer.
But I guess I am very glad to see her controlling roll come to an end.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but THIS BOOK. It drove me CRAZY. It was drama, after drama, after drama. I almost DNFed this one, but I powered through. It may have taken months, but I finished it.

I absolutely loved Drew and Fable in One Week Girlfriend and couldn't wait to get more of their story. This book is the second book in the Drew & Fable series, and should only be read after One Week Girlfriend. This book picks up after the first one, and continues to tell the story of Drew and Fable as they try to move on from their pasts and see what is possible for their future. Second Chance boyfriend was a great follow up, and I thought that Monica Murphy gave Drew and Fable a great beginning to their new life together.
After the end of One Week Girlfriend, Drew has left Fable thinking that he isn't good enough for her and that she deserves more. He has begun to see a professional in order to deal with everything that he has gone through in the past. Fable has a new job at a restaurant and has left the crappy bar behind. One night, Drew comes in with his football teammates and they reconnect. From there Drew and Fable realize that they never got over each other and that they want to be together. Being together is easier said than done though, as there are still many things standing in their way. Drew is still trying to get used to the idea that Fable can know everything about him and still care about him. Fable is trying to juggle working and supporting her family while also trying to trust that Drew won't run and leave her again. As they are making progress, Fable's mom up and leaves taking everything and Drew's dad decides to divorce Adele. But with everything around them falling apart and the truth coming out only a matter of time, can Drew and Fable have a future together?
I really loved Drew in One Week Girlfriend, and I loved him even more in Second Chance Boyfriend if that is possible. He is sweet and charming, and the way he feels about Fable just melts my heart. He is so devoted to her that you can't help but root for him. I loved that even though he ran and made some really poor decisions, he never quit caring about her. I still really liked Fable as well. She was still the same feisty heroine who would do anything for those she cares about. I love how fierce she is when it comes to her boys. She never wavers, and that is something that I really admire about her. I also love how she accepts Drew exactly as he is and while supportive of him and his choices, she never pushes him do anything he isn't ready to. Fable and Drew are great for each other, and their connection is undeniable. I really loved that we got to see them healing and moving towards a future together in this story because they both deserve it so much. As much as I love Drew and Fable, I also really enjoyed the new characters that we are introduced to as well as Owen. I really liked Jen and Colin and can't wait to see more of what is really going on there. I also just love Owen and his relationship with Fable. They are such a cute pair of siblings, and even though they have issues like all siblings do, you could tell just how much they really care about each other. I loved when Owen got all protective of Fable with Drew and that even though he was younger and smaller wasn't afraid to stand up for his sister.
I will admit, and I don't think this will shock anyone, that I absolutely hate Adele and Fable's mom. Adele is absolutely crazy. I knew she was a bit off and had a ton of issues, but I had no clue just how sick and twisted she was until I read the chapter with her POV. Even though I don't condone what she did, it was nice to see her get what was coming to her. I think its so cowardly doing that though, and I was hoping that she would have been made to suffer more. I also really hated Fable's mom. I hated that she just up and left and besides the text, her portion of the story is pretty much dropped. I would have liked to have seen her have to deal with what she has done to her children. Overall though, I thought that this was a great installment in the series and I'm really happy that Fable and Drew ended up where they did. They are so great together and their connection is just so real and deep. If you have read One Week Girlfriend, this story is an absolute must read. Fable and Drew are characters that I think many romance readers will enjoy and love. They aren't your typical characters and they are damaged, but I think that just makes it easier to relate to them. I really enjoyed watching them grow and change over the course of these two books.

Mehhhh. The first book was definitely, definitely better. This one was pretty heavy on the cliches and sap and everything getting tied up in a neat little bow. It's a fast read though and it's always nice to know definitively how things turn out.
Even if it makes you want to vomit.

I totally bawled at the ending of this book, after all Fable and Drew have been through this was the perfect ending! I loved this book and will definitely be keeping an eye out for other books by this author.
Spoiler
I felt so bad for Fable in the beginning after Drew left her. I totally understand why he did but I did still kind of think it was a jerk move. Also what was up with Colin/ He totally gave me a weird creeper vibe but ended up just being a really nice guy. It totally made me think he was going to be an issue but instead it was Adele. AGAIN! What is it going to take for this bitch to go away! Oh wait, she took care of that in the end. I should probably feel bad but all I can say is good riddance. She was a terrible human being and although I don't condone suicide I'm not going to say I'm sad about it in her case either. I know, this makes me a terrible person but really what she did to ruin so many people and then had the nerve to blame them and say that they ruined her life? Nuhuh, I don't think so, this makes me entirely unsympathetic.jetenold's review against another edition

I thought that this was a great follow up to the first one. I liked how it ended with the two of them.

So I am unbelievably happy with the way this story turned out!!! Everything was great!! Diving back into this world and going along for the ride with these characters was amazing!
I do think that some of the plot lines were resolved fairly quickly, and I do think that maybe some others could've been explored a bit more (like maybe about Colin or the mom or something) but I do understand why this didn't happen. Clearly they aren't the focus of the story and as for the whole mom thing, the point was clear. I'm just a little greedy and wanted to stay in this world a little longer haha.
Love love love love love Drew and Fable! Gosh they are too perfect for each other! And as for that despicable character...I honestly still can't believe that happened. I had a feeling it would but I haven't actually seen an author do it before.
And I also love what went down between Drew and his father! Made me so happy to see the love between them again.
I'm sorry if this review doesn't make much sense! I haven't been the best reviewer lately so I'll probably come back and rewrite this soon. Just know that if you've read One Week Girlfriend, you definitely don't want to miss seeing how this ends!
