I really liked this one but didn’t quite love it. Maybe if I had read it YEARS ago when I bought it I would have felt differently. Still looking forward to the next one in the series.

This was a reread for me, along with The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden also by Jessica Sorensen. This book is so good, I'm not sure that I can out it into words. I love Micha so much, which seems to be a trend with male characters written by Jessica Sorensen. He is the sweet and romantic bad boy that you just can't help but to love and his dedication to Ella is so sweet. There were a few things that I wasn't sure about or that just kind of annoyed me but I definitely would love to continue on with this series and I think I might pick up some of Jessica's other books as well.

Lord help me, I tried to read this book. I tried to enjoy it. Even the terrible cover art didn't stop me from picking this up and adding to my 2015 to read list - a list I wanted to include only great books. And I apologize, universe, for ignoring the bad cover art, sketchy plot summary and the horrible 20 first pages. This was bad and I'm seriously concerned about the 50 thousand people rating this 4 and above. Consent, guys. Think about that.

I liked this book, it was okay. Maybe if I hadn't read already a lot of similar books I would have enjoyed it more. So it's not really this book's fault or even the author's, I guess it was just bad timing.
One of the big problems I see with this book is the storyline. I don't think it's solid enough, or even original. It's not something I haven't read before, it's not something nobody has written before. So the lack of originality is one of the main reasons I'm giving this a low rating.
I'm spanish, and I'm starting to think every father in America abandons his sons, except for the ones who stick around but have a problem with alcohol. Then we have all those american mothers who die when their child is a kid, or kill themselves, or do drugs.
Does every girl in the USA have a secret past? Maybe every teenager is dealing with irresponsible parents.
What I'm trying to say is that I would like to read a story with characters who actually have a normal life and family. Maybe a regular guy with insecurities, or a smart guy who likes comics and meets a girl in college under normal circumstances and they fall in love in a sweet story with enough drama or interesting plot. I believe there are tons of different situations to create something amazing without always the same bad boy and womanizer full of tattoos and commitment problems and the typical girl with insecurities who is afraid to fall in love with him because "it's not the right thing".
I mean, there's nothing wrong with any of the above, I'm just saying that if it's told the right way, any story can be amazing, no matter how many times we've seen those same scenarios before.
I'm not sure if it was the writting, but in this case I couldn't feel the characters at all. I don't think they are believable or developed enough. I couldn't even feel bad for Ella. Yeah, she had problems, but she goes away only to come back 8 months later and be the same girl than before but now she makes out with her best friend. I don't know, but the story seems weak to me.
Micha is sweet enough, but they are still things about him that I don't understand. Like missing pieces. I would have liked to see more of him, of his past and moments with Ella from their childhood. I don't really understand their flirting and the way they get together, honestly.
My favorite part was probably Ethan. He is a great secondary character and I actually liked him more than Ella.
Other than that, I'm not even sure about the second book. I don't know if I'll read it.

"But I'd do it again in a heartbeat because when it all comes down to it, it’s just me and her against the world. Always has been.”
I liked this book, but unfortantely I didn't love it. It's an easy read that I finished in one day. It is a very sweet story of a friendship that turns into more, which I love. I really loved all of the characters. Micah pretends to be such a bad boy, but is so sweet and tender. Ella is fighting herself tooth and nail to be someone she's not. All that being said, I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I hope that I find that something I was missing in this book.
I do love how Jessica Sorensen adds playlists for her books! That is awesome. It makes me want to read them again while listening to the music! I'll definitely be going back and reading her other books.

This was a beautiful story about two best friends that rediscover their love for each other. I believe readers should read The Prelude of Ella and Micha first, so the background story is known. Ella is a girl from a broken family , and the only trusts is her best friend Micha. Micha also comes from a broken family because he was raised by his mother when . Also, the chemistry between Ella and Micha is amazing. Although, Ella has intimacy issues, Micha still loves her. Now I can't wait for The Forever of Ella and Micha.

It was a quick, sweet and romantic read. But it's a little too predictable for my liking :P

This is the story of Ella and Micha. As kids they lived next door to each other and were best friends. The friendship line however starts to blur. One night something happens to Ella and She decides that she needs to leave. Not before she finally kisses Micha though. She doesn't tell anyone where she is going (except her dad) and just disappears without a word.
8 months later, which is when the book takes place Ella has to return home, but she's not the girl she used to be and has no desire to reconnect with Micha. Micha on the other hand has spent the last 8 months trying to contact Ella.
The story is about Ella dealing with her past, including that night 8 months ago and her family, Micha dealing with his own problems and Ella and Micha's relationship.
Micha is a tattooed, lip pierced, musician, kinda of a bad boy who wants to carry on with Ella where they left off.
Ella finds it difficult letting people in and wants to get away from her past and old life so has changed herself into the complete opposite of what she was before she left.
I enjoyed this book. I found it a quick read. Read it one sitting so it obviously kept me entertained but I haven't given it 5 stars as I found it lacked something for me, but I don't know what. I found the inclusion of one character a bit odd as I didn't really see what the point was of him was. As for the name of the book I kept wondering why the book was called the secret of Ella and Micha and although this was explained at the end of the book, I didn't really feel that it fit.
I will be reading the next book, which continues Ella and Micha's story because Jessica has left you wanting to know more about where these characters go from here.

The quickest way to describe this book is to say it was heart-pounding and addictive. Jessica Sorensen had me captivated from page one and fully focused until the very last word.
Ella and Micha have been best friends for as long as they can remember. Until one night when the lines of friendship blur and Ella runs. Eight months later, Micha is still looking for her, but he doesn't have to look much longer because she's headed home for the summer. Can Ella's resolve to be the new her hold or will he bring out the old, loud, and rambunctious friend he once new and want to be with?
OMG was this book amazing. Ella and Micha both had rough backgrounds and were well developed characters. They both had demons they needed to face and obstacles to overcome. I love that we get to read this story from both of their points of view. If we didn't, this book would be lacking the hott, breathtaking, and heart-racing qualities I love to find in New Adult titles. I was on the edge of my seat reading until I finished reading the last page.
Overall, if you're looking for a good New Adult title to fall into, you've found it. The Secret of Ella & Micha is a beautiful and exciting book that will forever be in my heart.
