It’s no surprise that I’m totally obsessed with Lynch and that I would be madly in love with this book. I started TM this year so I couldn’t wait to get started on this one!
This book isn’t just for meditation. It teaches you how to get in touch with your creativity and general life advice. As a bonus you even learn cool facts about his films and his creative process. This is a must read!

A wonderful take on the autobiography genre from the master of the weird, who, after reading this book, doesn't seem so weird after all.

What a bonkers book.
I’ll have to look up the TM fund that he supports with his name.
I’m sure meditation and relaxation would help people in high stress environments but what a bonkers notion it is to believe that it’s a solution to any of the stressors (poverty/racism/misogyny/transphobia/war/inequality/inequity) other than a soothing balm.

One of my favorites. I also suggest the audio book too.

I don't have a great deal of time for the meditation that he eulogises so much about (although it obviously works for him), but the book is a fascinating insight into his working practices and his way of thinking.
Don't expect any great revelations on what is in the box or how to crack the secret of Lost Highway as you won't find it, but there's some fascinating little tidbits scattered throughout the short duration.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Lynch himself which I'd highly recommend.

I enjoyed the hell out of this book. It's more of an info session about transcendental meditation than a Hollywood tell-all, and that's fine with me. I enjoyed spending some time with David Lynch, reading his thoughts on creativity and collaboration, and hearing about the big fish in the net of the Unified Field.

Amazingly insightful book that feels so concise and interesting that I can go back to parts and do some re reading. It is starting me on my meditation journey and made me think differently about the practice. And I feel like I could use it right now in a positive way. Lynch is an inspiring dude and he is the absolute manifestation of living your dream and working hard and being happy. Very good read. I’d recommend to anyone. Especially if you feel a bit anxious.

Written as a series of one to three page (sometimes just a sentence) reflections on all manner of creativity, art, meditation, nature. He’s not giving away any answers to the questions that surround his body of work (which should come as no surprise to anyone who is familiar with his public persona), but it is an interesting and entertaining look into his process, memories, and the things that move him. It’s about as close as I’ll ever come to sitting down and talking with him, and in that way it is a delight and an inspiration.
