Not as cute as the first one.

I didn't expect to be reading this book so soon, but here it is. Since Melanie liked the first one so much, I added this one to my Amazon order this week. I was going to save it for an occasion when she needed a random surprise or reward. Turns out the day after it arrived we ended up heading to the ER so I grabbed it to help with waiting.
I liked it, maybe better the first one. It was a little bit repetitive, but it seemed to help the story.

This one is even better than the first. I legit laughed out loud a bunch of times!!

Hilarious and sweet at the same time. Princess Magnolia is a wonderful creation, and between Hale(s) and Pham, she is unlike any other princess around.

Net Galley ARC
The princess in black is back and it's her birthday but her party does not go as planned. Monsters insist upon interrupting her special day. This is another colorful, fun filled, adventure that children transitioning to chapter books will enjoy.

Princess Magnolia has invited her twelve princess friends to her birthday party. The problem is her monster alarm keeps going off and she has to distract the princesses while she goes to fight the monsters. This series is wonderful and I can see why it is so popular with the new chapter book readers.

Another sweet book in this series. I love that she likes pink and can kick some butt. Those two things are not mutually exclusive. My 6 year old loves it and it is a great transition book from picture books to early chapters. Illustrations on every page and some longer words to read are great.

It would have been much better without the culture specific princesses.
