What a hate f*ck!! This was a super fun enemies to lovers romance! With some crossover from previous books in the series, but can be a standalone, corporate romance.
Both main characters are uptight, but lovable in their own rights!
I do kinda wish this was written in duet form, because I would’ve loved to know what was going on in H’s mind..

Roman Pierce is a lawyer and a damn good one. His adversary is Lauren Harper. These two are not necessarily a yin yang type of thing, more like pit bull and terrier going at each other. They give as good as they get and then some. It’s what keeps them on their toes in their job and fires them up that then spills out in their personal life.

Roman is Eric’s brother, and he has taken a different surname so his famous family aren’t intertwined with his work life. He keeps his family very private as they are all extremely close. Lauren has a elder sister whom she lives with and their bond will stand strong, even in a court of law!

I enjoyed this book, and the fact I did it with audio made it so much better. I loved their banter, their chemistry and their antics. The storyline was authentic and I loved how Lauren stood her ground after the family wedding. She didn’t cave and held her head high. Roman was a jerk, but his apology was heartfelt and I loved him all the more for it. I am loving working my way through this series.

Smart, sexy and brilliant

I read the sample and I was hooked both characters were smart, aggressive and on point. Reminded me of the hating game but with grit. Loved that the author didn't dumb down the heroine. She was lethal and soft when the scene called for it. The hero was a jerk but he treated the heroine as his equal. I loved that at the end he left her little messages telling her how he felt. Brilliantly funny. I will definitely read the others.

This series continues to entertain. Loved this enemies-to-lovers workplace romance... just the light and fun I have been craving.

I loved this funny, sexy, enemy to lovers romance! I wasn't sure I would enjoy this at the beginning tho. Lauren Harper and Roman Pierce were colleagues at a Law firm who were so competitive, always trying to one up the other. They exchanged constant barbs but their competition drove them to be better lawyers. I quickly got into the rhythm and fell for the humor, smart banter and heartwarming, sweet romance. Lauren is smart and confident but at times she had me laughing out loud when her brain would conjure up the most hilarious scenarios. Roman took awhile to understand but trust me when I say he is the sweetest, most loyal, and protective alpha and you will love him in the end. I am a huge fan of grand gestures and this story had me swooning!
Grace Grant did an amazing job with this story. Her inflections were spot on and her comedic timing was brilliant.
This story is a hilarious, sweet & sexy romance that won me over quickly and I need to check out the rest of this series!

As with the previous books, I had a great time reading this one. This author is totally hilarious. She writes real stories, with heartfelt feelings but happening together with hysterically funny situations. There’s laughter and angst and it’s a great read.

Lauren and Pierce are ENEMIES, but they work together under the same boss. They’re both lawyers, very competent and competitive. Since they are always trying to one up the other, they are always scrambling to do the best work, be the best lawyer. All this pushing has taken them to be excellent lawyers and their boss is so accustomed to their constant skirmishes that he doesn’t even take notice. He uses their competitiveness to bring out the best of them.

They are assigned one big case by their boss and they are determined to upstart the other. Something happens during this case, that things between them get more personal and I could tell that they were attracted to each other but hid it behind their competitiveness and rival hostility. Lauren kept insisting to herself that she hated, hated, Roman, intensively yet whenever he got near, she got the tingles. Likewise, when he looked at her intensely and some reactions he got when she was flirting with guys, told me he was attracted too.

Eventually, their personal lives collided with their professional lives, given their proximity in working the new client. This paved the way for them to get closer until boom! Lovers at last. Even though they were sleeping together, Lauren stayed mistrusting Pierce’s feelings and motivations and this caused many disruptions in their relation.

The book was fun, intense, and fast paced. Both characters were well developed and complex, so it was fun to decipher them. At the beginning, the rivalry and the upmanship didn’t appeal to me, and at some time I got impatient with Lauren for stubbornly sticking to her mistrust but the plot proceeded nicely without any lagging. It was really entertaining, especially when Pierce’s family comes into play. Great reading!!

The #1 series just keeps getting hotter!!

Lauren and Roman oh where to start...
Two very successful lawyer associates at the same firm who have a fierce competition with each other.
Both very driven trying to outsmart each other, no wonder the chemistry was crazy from the start!
Enemies to lovers in a workplace is usually frowned upon as it makes things tense or awkward, but with these two that only added more flames to the fire that was getting hotter and hotter.

I loved both their characters.
Lauren, smart, successful and gorgeous. Didn’t take shit from anyone and gave as good as she got! I loved her beautiful nature and sass!
Roman. A gorgeous alpha, doesn’t hold back or believe in love. So when he realises he does fall, he falls hard and loves fiercely!

When Lauren and Roman were together their banter was full of fun and laughs and the sexy times were explosive.

But of course no HEA happens without drama and with drama sometimes “I’m sorry” just isn’t enough.

The efforts made made to win her back made me *swoon* the attention to detail and clues he felt more deeply than she realises was just beautiful!

Seriously, I couldn’t get enough of this dynamic duo! Best couple in the #1 series hands down! Would love to see more of them! Please write more!! 😉

"I hated Roman Pierce. I wanted to destroy Roman Pierce. But unfortunately, I wanted to sleep with him as well."

#1 Rival was my first book by T. Gephart and it really was a fun read. Lauren and Roman are really a perfect match. Not only at work but also behind the scenes.

"I took your advice, went to see the Wizard and asked him for a heart. Turns out I've had one this whole time, but I'd already given it to you."

I enjoyed the banter between Lauren and Roman, because Lauren never backed down. She's a pretty strong heroine, fiercely loyal with a big heart.

"A man had once been my biggest rival was now my number one love."

Overall the book was an OK read with potential. The thing that bothered me most were the sex scenes. To me they mostly felt a little "out of place". I didn't feel the heat or chemistry between both characters which clearly was there. Mostly they came to me a little "out of the blue". The story would have worked perfectly with less of these scenes, or they should have been better integrated into the story line.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy (given by the author) of this book.

Roman Pierce and Lauren Harper are associate lawyers at the same law firm. They fight each other for everything instead of working as a team. They’re working on the same case as a team. It was a divorce case because Jenna Kane, an entrepreneur who created Kane Cosmetics and is CEO. The pharmaceutical aspect of her company is creating a cream that will help with skin infections. She’s concerned about a patent that she is filing in the next month, while she was separated and has no proof or a prenuptial agreement. She’s willing to give her dope smoking husband a nice settlement and the house.

This was my first in T Gephart’s #1 series and I loved it. i never laughed, cried or been so angry at an audio before. i highly recommend this audio

I enjoyed reading it but it was VERY cliché.

The amount of eye-rolling in this book though...
