God I really wanted to love this book. Lesbian You’ve Got Mail? Say no more, I thought. Sadly I wish the author had said anything. There was almost zero conflict - every issue was resolved within three exchanges to a point where the characters felt one dimensional. I can’t believe there’s a sequel and I can’t believe I’m probably going to read it.

This was a cute but predictable little love story.

Warm. Beautiful. Enough drama to keep it interesting, but not enough to make it drag. Loved it.

This was painfully corny and unoriginal. Like almost unbearable. Also, from the very start, there was no way I was going to like the love interest. Why would I empathize with a LANDLORD? Who literally EVICTED the fmc?? From her DEAD MOM’S bookstore? Are you joking? Anyway, there were also no real stakes whatsoever. Entire scenes went by where I would wonder if something was about to happen to contribute to the plot but then it literally was just several minutes of her walking the dog and doing her job and that was it. The points of tension that could have caused problems just… didn’t. It was all so anticlimactic. Also, you know when you can tell that random side characters are being mentioned specifically to set up a spin-off? Yeah... EVEN SO, I can’t bring myself to give this less than 3 stars because the narrator of the audiobook probably ruined most of my potential enjoyment of this story (seriously, wtf was up with that horrible British accent and the absolutely unnecessary Blaccent?) and also… lesbians. Lesbians deserve at least 3 stars just for existing. If this was straight people I’d give it 2 stars.

very cute bookish romance! felt a little slow at times but enjoyed it nonetheless. so happy to check this one off since it has been at the top of my tbr for a while now ❤️

I tried twice.  I was bored.  The plot has so many secrets to begin with, as well.

conflict in the end felt kinda forced and the solution rushed, but overall a nice read

p.s. Amy please call me I’m free anytime for you

Very cute enemies-to-lovers lesbian romance! I am a total sucker for anything even partially set in a bookstore, and Between the Pages bookstore did it for me. 3.5 stars, rounded to 3. I'd read the next book in the series!

Mostly enjoyable,
felt that the conflict happened too late and resolved far too quickly
