These books are chaotic. You really don't get many moments of peace when reading them. But that is honestly why they're so good. The more you read, the more invested you become in the characters. This one particularly felt very tense at moments but typical St Mary's - all is alright by the end!

By the dates read, it looks like it took me forever to read this. When really I read 60% on the 6th, and the rest on the 16th. I continue to love these books. Fun romps through history with a bit of romance thrown in. I think this one has started the series in a new direction and I’m very excited to see where it goes. I do love Max and Leon. And will always be down to see more from both sides of history.

Fantastic 4th book featuring Max and the St Mary's crew. A gripping ride through time (well many times really as they're being chased by the bad guys) with a battle and some unexpected twists. Couldn't put it down once I started reading, roll on book #5 :-)

Fine. Entertaining. Helpful diversion for walking or cooking or housework or whatever.

No Pulitzer Prize, but fine.

Another fantastic one! I loved the battle with the time police.
As a side note I have to remember not to recommend this to everyone because it can get a bit steamy
