This short prequel follows Eleanor as she embarks on a mission from the Goddess of the Moon to bear a child for the Crown Prince of a realm that shares an Alliance with hers.. I can’t wait to read the next part of this story! Well written and hard to put down

I have been following this author for a while now and she has definitely been on my TBR list. Cold Moon is the first book/novella I have read. It has not disappointed. Hooked after the first paragraph! In fact it has done its job! I can’t wait for the series to release in 2024. Especially as there was a cliff hanger
The stories of Eleanor’s sons promise to be epic with everything I love about fantasy stories!
Vampires, werewolves, morally grey heroes, enemies to lovers romance plus lots more. What’s not to love

Wow! This prequel is attention grabbing, heartbreaking, and has you wanting more. The storytelling and world building was excellent. Can’t wait for the next books!

Exciting prequel to Corina Douglas’ new series! It gave me Handmaids Tales vibes which I absolutely loved. The cliffhanger at the end left me wanting more! If you love stories with vampires, werewolves, fae, morally grey heroes, strong female heroines, and enemies-to-lovers tropes, this will be the series for you.

*Definitely look at the trigger warnings before reading.*

I’m excited to read more of this series!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

What an amazing novella and prequel! I cannot wait to read this series. This is the first Corina Douglas book I’ve read and I’m now off to read the rest of her work. I loved the character of Eleanor and would read an entire series just about her. Her spirit, willfulness and conviction were inspiring and I look forward to any glimpses of her story that might appear in the follow up series.

I. Am. Hooked!!!
ARC READ...
This prequel to the story had me bitting for the rest of the story.
I can not wait for it. Completely captivating from the start

Thank you to Corina Douglas and Burning Legacies for my ARC!

I really enjoyed the research that has clearly gone into this story. The basis in legends, myths and folklore sets a fantastic precedence for the rest of the series. The FMC is headstrong and I’m excited to see the other novels play out.

My one criticism is that it read as pretty exposition heavy - while I understand it’s a prequel, it can make it difficult to get into the story and the emotions.

This was good,
It draws you in but fair warning there’s non consent immediately.

I’m not a vampire lover however so I probably will not continue HOWEVER if that’s you’re thing I’d check this out

This was not as intriguing as I thought it would be but I'm definitely going to give the series a try!

A short prequel that is captivating as it is tragic. It really sucked me into the world and set up a series beautifully. I’m very interested to see how the series and characters develop. I do wish it had been a bit longer since I read the entire piece in an hour. Also, since it is my first time reading a book based on Scottish/Irish/Welsh folklore I would’ve liked to have a pronunciation guide from the author on the names of the Gods and locations but not necessarily a significant deterrent.

Thank you to the author for the ARC!
