Popsugar reading challenge 2022 categoría 15. Un libro de un autor(a) de las islas del Pacífico.

Básicamente este libro lo escogí para el reto al no tener otra opción y no querer buscar algo más así que nada xd
Me pareció una historia absurda de principio a fin, aunque ya al final me acostumbre a su ritmo y a las tonterías que hacían ambos personajes y ya no estuvo tan terrible aunque a fin de cuentas igual no me gustó.
Ni personajes, ni las tonterías que hacía el chico para llamar la atención ni que la madre

lo empujara a casarse para que "madurara y dejara los falsos suicidios" a través de citas concertadas con una agencia. No es por justificar al tipo pero que pésima madre tenía

I had enjoyed the movie, but never read the novel on which it was based--and now I think I'm just too old to appreciate 1971 whimsy. There's an enduring message of seizing joy and defying authority (revealed slowly that Maude is a Holocaust survivor), but I also really don't want to have them steal my car or clean up after them.

En favoritfilm, så tänkte att det skulle vara roligt att ha originaltexten inom räckhåll. Läste någon gång att Harold & Maude var Higgins masteruppsats på filmskola. Efter bearbetning blev den ju så enormt älskad som film och fick kultstatus, även om den kanske inte faller alla i smaken p.g.a. svart humor. Men det är så härligt hur den unge Harold lär sig att älska livet - till tonerna av Cat Stevens i filmens soundtrack.
