as ever w short stories, this swung from excellent to clumsy, but overall full of life and heart. had never read anything from a hawaiian author so happy to have expanded my horizons. i recommend it for its 2nd half

fun collection of little stories, loved the authors notes. but the novella set immediately after revenant gun opens up the stakes of the entire trilogy SO MUCH and does SUCH INSANE THINGS that it has altered forever the course of my life.

a very difficult read on account of the obvious but a compelling and interesting one. mixed personal feelings on some aspects but overall an excellent audiobook production, and i'm glad it exists. very impressive work! i wish her well truly

god bless you fern brady. v moving to me, made better by the audiobook (her accent and her in the middle of the book being like yeah i have a cold recording this.). had not read an autism-focused memoir before and really loved it!!!!!

complex feelings on it.. the writing style is miserable and the first 70% of the book don't make much sense but i respect ann leckie + her vision, it has some really good concepts. will continue reading the series but not my cup of tea generally
