The inspiration for the Mrs Doubtfire film
The books parents are alot more dark and hateful to each other as theyve been divorced longer then the movie time frame
Miranda is self centered and "unintentionally" mean, while dan is essentially useless and boardline violent at times
The book does have very good points and views for children going through divorce and theyre own emotional well being versus what their parents want
But the book has alot more serious tone, has none of the fun loving Mrs. Doubtfire character introduced to us by the wonderful Robin Williamsđź–¤ but the movie did use very important parts of the conversations between Mrs Doubtfire and Miranda
Its is mainly a british humor vs american humor moment for book vs movie

The Wakefield parents leave jess in charge of helping her sister readjust but liz seems to be fine until she shows signs of personality change that not only endangers herself but hurts her sister
Its very 80s cali teen soap opera and rated at 12+ which i agree with

This was such a Nostalgic read, i read them all the time in the early 2000s, rereading all i could see was vc andrews characters by andrew neiderman
The California Diaries follows a group of friends battling their emotions and life as the grow into teens
This book is the 1st in Sunnys POV
While sunnys mother battles cancer, her father becomes almost uninvolved except to boss her around and yell
Sunny starts to talk back and skip school, she meets a homeles  teenage boy, carson, at the beach and starts to wonder if life would be better at her own control
It can be emotionally stressful, especially if you lived a harsh life but such a good read

A Canadian classic!
Like most 90s babys/kids i grew up with Homeward Bound and was excited to read its inspiration
I have seen the Canadian version once and it is closer to the original source
In the American version its Shadow the old Lab, Sassy the Cat and Chance the pitbull baby
In the Canadian movie and Book its Bodger the old terrior, Tao the Simese Cat and Luath the Lab puppy(1 year old)
Its storyline is alittle harder to understand but the pets were left with a family friend as they move and the pets venture off to find their family, in the book Luath is leading them to his puppy breeding farm the family got him from and sets off into the Canadian wilderness
This is an amazing, heartfelt, educational and Incredible Journey to go on!
