Great narrator. Really enjoyed this one too. More to it than just a spooky ghost story. Definitely a good one for Spooktober.

Although it took me a while to finish this one, it wasn't because I wasn't I love with the story. I got distracted by Halloween and spookiness 😂
I finally got back to Kringle and finished it quickly. This is one I will be handing off to my granddaughter. She will love this one, as did I.

Loved this one. Would wouldn't want to have a mysterious family member leave an inheritance that made a dream of owning a spooky house near water come true?😂 I already have the next two books qeued up and ready to go lol

Hank O'Sullivan is getting older. Widowed and alone, he goes through life mechanically as the days pass on and on...
One day he meets Luis, a sixteen year old boy, trying to make his way through life. They are complete opposites. One is old. One is young. One has family. One has none. One is cantankerous and cranky while the other is boisterous and level-headed. One is full of life and the other? Maybe just wants it to be done.
Weirdly, they strike up a friendship. One which shows that life can sometimes bring the right people into focus at just the right time. And while it may seem like you have nothing in common...well sometimes life surprises you there too and maybe knows a little better than you know yourself.
I absolutely loved this one. Two worlds colliding with young meets old and peppy meets grumpy. I LOVE Hank, the old codger 🤣🤣 He reminds me of someone I was friends with years ago before they moved away. He is the best character! His sense of humor is right there with my own. We would have been great friends in real life 😅
Luis is also a great character and I feel for him. Trying to figure out why his mom left, why it seems his dad is so hard on him and how he is going to get away and go to art school. It's a lot for a young person to figure out, seemingly on his own.
The relationship between Hank and Luis is an interesting one. I love their banter, their want to look tough, and their eventuality into admitting it's ok not to be ok and to share their hurts. Sometimes having someone to be there to listen, and care, makes all the difference.
Honestly I just love how this author writes life...real life. These are characters yes, but real people experience these real situations and the writing is well done. Easy flow and format with loveable characters. Definitely pick this one up.
I sincerely appreciate the publisher for providing me with a review copy. All opinions expressed herein are mine and mine alone.

Really enjoyed this one. More than just a horror story. Gave me chills a few times and really makes me rethink remote cabin trips and walks in the dark woods lol

I want to go live in Moonbright...sigh 💗 I have enjoyed this series so much as it has the perfect Fall vibes, loveable characters and fun stories.
I'm not much of a romance reader but there is just something special about Moonbright. Grab a copy and fall in love too. 💗

Case of the Bleus: A Cheese Shop Mystery by Korina Moss

This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series. I love all the cheese references although I'm not expert on the subject lol This time Team Cheese is hot on the case of the mysterious making of Church Bleu and the murder of Willa's former co-worker, Kendall.
Grab this one and enjoy as you follow the mystery and salivate with all the food references lol
I sincerely appreciate the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

I've had this one on my shelf for a while and finally decided to give it a read. Definitely not what I expected (I didn't read the synopsis), but one I ended up enjoying.
I connected a lot with Joy, as a wife and mother, as well as with her struggles of love, tiredness and balancing. I also really enjoyed the format and the writing of this one. I always love a good past/present storyline and this flowed well.
If you're looking for an emotional, familial drama with a little mystery attached, this is a good one to snag.

Weyward is more than just a witchy story. It's also a journey of three women who are wrapped together by familial ties and deep traditions.
I love past and present timelines and this flowed seamlessly. I also loved the characters, the writing and the way this ends. Really good one for Spooktober too with the witchy vibes.
If you haven't read this one yet, grab it and give it a read. I sincerely appreciate St. Martin's Press for the review copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
