This book was incredible! Zane & Autumn and that invisible string between them will have you in all your feels. You know from their not so cute meet cute that their journey is going to be magical.
Not only was their journey magical, but the world Lyra Parish created for readers was magical. I was in all my fall coziness right along with the residents of Cozy Creek.
Both Autumn and Zane have baggage and broken hearts when they meet but their undeniable connection is strong from the moment she handed him that horrible coffee (IYKYK). All the side characters (Julie and Blaire especially) brought so much to the story in laughs, love for their bestie, and support when doubts crept in.
These two were absolutely destined to meet and forge the bond they did. They supported each other in the sweetest ways and communicated with one another like they had known each other all their lives. The fact he ended up being her Mr. Dreamy was so darn swoon worthy I couldn't contain my squeals.
Harper and her prophecy…spot on! I loved the little snippets we got of her visions throughout the book.
This is an absolute must read - full of laughs, love and all the steam. Grab your pumpkin spice and cuddle up by the fire and get ready to fall in love with Cozy Creek.
I sm so looking forward to more from the Cozy Creek Series…hoping we get more of Harper, Julie, Blaire…maybe even tbe Calloways…

I was here for every salacious bit of this book and devoured it in one sitting. J.L. Quick was not playing around and jumped in quick with the steam. Yes, please!
I was instantly drawn in from Tristian and Layla's first encounter at the bar and was devouring how quick their connection grew. Give me all the spice and steam and I will eat it up every time. Tristian's mouth...goodness gracious! He had me wanting me to be his good girl...
My first read by J.L. Quick has me wanting to dive into her library right now.

The last Knight brother falls and Eliot's story was everything I was hoping it would be for him. He's bared the burdens of his family history and the dynamics of their trust while he felt that his siblings were all getting to live the lives they were destined for.
Lily is a single mom, fresh of divorce, thinking she was moving to a new town, claiming her land and house that was left to her, and starting a new life. Only she learns there's stipulations for her keeping the house and land, namely her being married, and quickly.
What's she do when her aunt shows up? Blurts the name of the hot cowboy that's been on her mind and declares they're getting married. Eliot being the man he is agrees to her plan and marries her. They only have to be married a year for Lily to keep her inheritance so they both think "no big deal."
Only they start to connect on a deeper level and he falls in love with Lily's kids. Lily finds herself falling in love with her fake husband. He's always there when she needs him and takes such good care of her and the kids.
Eliot can't get the words from his mom out of his head that he'll only hurt any woman he loves so he convinces himself that he needs to put distance between himself and Lily, breaking both their hearts.
Lily wants more, Eliot is scared. What happens when she decides she can't continue with their fake marriage?
Marie Johnston delivered the perfect ending to the Oil Knights series and hinted a new series to come...with the Duke siblings maybe? There's a whole lot to unpack with their family dynamics and the trust their futures are all tied up in.
Can't wait to see what Marie Johnston has in store for us next!

Nixon & Kenzie were everything!
This couple took me in a ride and I enjoyed every second of it.
Nixon was in love with Kenzie since they were teenagers, long before he knew what love was; but after a life changing tragedy, Kenzie puts all her focus into her career.
Kenzie and Nixon both think their careers are all they have time for so when they agree to a no strings attached “friends with benefits” arrangement they think they’ve found the perfect solution to their mutual attraction. He’ll teach her how to be intimate and keep the creepy doctor off her back, and he’ll get more from the woman he’s always wanted.
The thing is, those strings were attached way before either of them realized. The way their families were so connected made things complicated and hard to navigate, especially once their little arrangement quickly became so much more for the both of them.
The way that man loved and desired her would make any woman fall head over heels. Kenzie didn’t stand a chance. Their chemistry was electric. Nixon stood by her side and loved her through her healing and it was beautiful to be a part of that journey. This couple was special.
I can’t recommend this book enough!

Great surprise!
Wow! I wasn’t expecting to be drawn in from the first chapter. This book is a page turner. Great story line with a shocking twist at the end.
