I truly appreciated the way Carl Trueman analyzed psychology, sociology and philosophical perspectives that are widely discussed in academic settings and how these have shaped and continue to shape the world we live in and how we live as Christians in this new strange world. Although these perspectives were not new to me, the context of this book really brought them to life and helped me understand how these have really shaped the way in which we live as Christians in this world.

This was a good book, but not what I expected. I thought that it would focus more on how Koreans experience and process emotions, and although this was touched in the beginning it quickly came out of sight. The rest of the book narrated the history of Koreans in America and that part was really good and important to read!!
