Finally getting on the graphic novels train !!!! Absolutely adorable sapphic story, the drawings were gorgeous and the plot was well executed. As a french girlie, loved the cheesiness of the book wink wink.  Also princesse brie and i are the same person lmao
Reading this in french was definitely interesting because the translation is amazing and very modern, which felt quite refreshing !!!!

Plot was good, loved Luzia and Valentina's characters but oh my god did i hate the romance. I felt like i was reading a mix of twilight and crescent city. Leigh Bardugo gave us the most gut wrenching love stories in SoC and S&B but it did not transfer onto the familiar i fear

I am the target audience : gay, obsessed with the titanic, living in paris, studying to be a bookseller, leg problems ???? Is this play about us ??! Lovely, tragic, very well written... I needed to read it now i think, so i could romanticise my studies and remember why i wanna be a bookseller

This book is INSANE and i mean it as the biggest compliment ever. When i started it i was slightly worried about the very short chapters: i would now read a 100 more if i could. Icarus has everything i need in a book and more, from lovable and relatable characters, intense queer yearnin, complicated family relationship to platonic love.
“You’re not disgusted?”
Angus shrugged. “You think I’d know art, and I wouldn’t understand this?”

I really like lex croucher's writing! The romance took a while to set off but it was still quite well done and believable. A nice read for spring

Very strong debut! Hollis is such a lovable mc, i just wanted to hug her and tell her to dump chris from page one. The characters are all lovely, and the story was cute and felt very realistic. Loved it!!
