 Exceptional.
I don't think I have the right words to describe what this story will make you feel without spoiling it, please experience it for yourselves. But now I can't wait to read all of Ursula K. Le Guin's backlog, feeling that my love for sci-fi is back.

I had forgotten how much I love writing that can be both succint and superb (Eduardo Galeano is excellent at this as well). In such a brief novel, Claire Keegan captures the complexity of family dynamics and class inequality, leaving you introspecting (way more than you would like), about what makes a person, a good person.
