Batman: Hush by Jeph Loeb
Meh... I guess if I was a Batman fan or at least a long term reader, I might've liked this. But I'm not a Batman fan and only read a couple of Batman comic books so I had no strong emotional reaction to this. In fact, I found it almost comical. It was like a parade of all the Batman characters showing up at odd moments. Made me laugh more than once. I can't really give this book a rating.
Super Sons (2017-) Vol. 2: Planet of the Capes by Peter J. Tomasi

A bit weird. I was starting to lose interest. The change in art style in part 4 was very confusing. Seemed deliberate but I didn't get it and couldn't find the answer (not that I looked too hard).
Super Sons of Tomorrow by Peter J. Tomasi, Patrick Gleason, Francis Manapul, Jorge Jimenez
meh. I was bored. just leafed through the second part of the book.
Rat Queens Volume 1: Sass & Sorcery by Kurtis J. Wiebe

Read this before and for some reason remembered it as fun and funny. but it's not. it's fucking boring. the gore doesn't make for a good fight. the conveniently lined up "emotional issues" do not make good character development. all girls have family issues because you have to have family issues; families apparently have those yucky traditions and expectations; there's no functional families anywhere! and in the end one by one goes off to fuck a partner of choice with one girl wonderfully "not taking no for an answer". ugh, I'm actually angry at this volume. wish I never re-read it. I have 3 more volumes that I bought based on my initial impression.
Absolute All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison
about 30% read. I got bored. it's a weird series. not bad but not my thing.
Super Sons (2017-) Vol. 3: Parent Trap by Peter J. Tomasi
