This was a great book to read in September at a cabin… I was seriously spooked. Like jumping at every noise while sitting by a camp fire.

It was graphic with the gore in all the good ways. The book does start out slightly slow. We are following the friends staying in a cabin and the sheriff but it was great to build up the scene.

This book gave a little Hills Have Eyes / Wrong Turn vibes. This is a the perfect book to curl up with on a cold dark fall night but you might not sleep that night.

This was a fun YA paranormal.

Mila Flores best friend just died. It’s ruled as an accident but Mila doesn’t believe that as 2 girls from their school died a couple days earlier. Now she is going to try and bring her friend back to find out.

This was a fun and spooky book. This is perfect for fall. There was some funny moments and a little bit of a mystery.

You can never go wrong with a Darcy Coates Books. This was a good collection of spooky stories. Some of these stories weren’t scary to me but I do love the apocalyptic stories and the outer space ones.

This is a great book series if you want to dip your toes into the horror genre.

This series follows a group of friends who have a ghost hunting YouTube channel. There is minimal gore but still has all the spooky vibes.

This isn’t my favorite Peter Swanson but it was still good. I’m still trying to figure out what the title has to do with the plot 🤷🏼‍♀️

Another meh book about whiney rich people who think their life is hard when it’s really not.

I don’t know why I keep reading about these kind of people when I don’t enjoy it.

Not the best thing I’ve read all year but still enjoyed it. I would definitely read more from this author.

Capri (I actually forgot her name by the time I was writing this review) is a divorced single mom who makes her living hosting serial killer tours in San Francisco. She is also the granddaughter of a accused serial killer Overkill Bill. Now years after his conviction and death, a copy cat is stirring up trouble and everyone is looking at Capri.

I enjoyed this book 80% of the book. It is a great cozy mystery type book with a amateur sleuth. I do feel like some parts of the plot was rush definitely when it came to the ending of the book and the conclusion of her grandpa.

I also now want more. Michelle gave us a almost romance and then took it away.

I would definitely read more by this author or if Capri’s storyline becomes a series.

Black Sheep by Rachel Harrison

I love Rachel Harrison’s writing style of horror. It is what I call cozy girly horror.

Every book I’ve read and I’ve read all but one has a strong FMC, that you love by the end of the story.

Vesper is heading back home. She left years ago not looking back but now she has to return to her family and their religious beliefs.

This book was fast paced and so much fun to read. There was some twist that left me when my mouth open. There is minimal gore until the end where we do get some graphic content.

This book was hard to get into the first chapter but after that I flew this book in the matter of two days.

This is a great book if you just want to dip your toes into SciFi but don’t want to go all in. There is very minimal science talk and it is easy to follow through out the book.

I love the ending and the conclusion to what happens to Jason and this family.

This is the sequel to Bird Box and like most sequels to amazing books this book fell a bit flat.

It felt rushed through out the whole book. The plot line but not as strong as bird box and I felt less scared of the creatures in this book.

The ending felt very rushed and hurried. Everything was tied up quickly and there was no build up.
