Audio review

Wow I loved this book and the audio is fabulous.
The narrator brings the characters to life.
I love listening to Joron slowly gain his confidence as Meas takes him under her wing and teaches him what it means to be fleet, and also seeing the budding friendship between him and the guillaine.

Not a bad story, I probably would have liked it better if I had read the previous stories, but that was my fault.
I liked both guys and understood where each of them was coming from. When Michael made a mistake you felt for him as he tried to make it up to Abe.
I loved how Abe was with the kids in his roost. They looked up to him and in doing so helped Kai find his home.

I liked this one
It was an easy, low angst read.
Rocky the big bear of man was a sweetheart and the way he treated Neo and his sister from the start was lovely.
Neo was a great character. Looked over because he was mute, his intelligence when given a chance was off the charts. I didn't understand why others didn't give him a chance

Not my favourite.
I didn’t really like Thorin for the majority of the novella. I get it he didn’t want to be mated but he was a jerk and ruined the experience for Poe.
I liked that Poe stuck up for himself and gave himself as much room as he was able to, without being in pain.
I did think this one would have been better longer, as it felt like we went from 0 to 100 in a sentence.

Not a bad short story.
I liked Jaime, he hadn't had a life that was his own so I understood why he didn't go for the fated mate thing quickly.
Lyn was a sweetie until you flipped his switch and then he turned all demon. I really enjoyed that he stuck up for Jaime.

Good introduction to the characters, including the coven.
Being so short it didn’t have time to deal with things and a lot was made ok, when more work was required, hopefully knowing that the guys get a third, time is spent addressing the issues that popped up in more detail.
I like the idea that Luca is a healer and his way is through tattooing. I felt for him with his past but also want to know more about his mum and her issues.
Ash I also want to see more of and his partner.

This was good short story
I liked the premise of it. Having the shifter be a crow and way the crow mirder worked was fascinating.
I enjoyed that Amos got to know the crows, he even knew their crow names well before he knew they were shifters.
I liked Amos and how he made friends with the crows on campus. He treated them with respect and friendship before he knew who they actually were. The fact that he was a little bit of an outcast was sas but he did have a great friendship with his roommate, I want to see more of him.
I didn’t feel like I got a feel for Corvin though as while we were in his head for a couple of chapters it was more to see how he was reading Amos’s internal dialogue. I also didn’t get why the author had him as a pole dancer. Yes it got them together quicker but the guy was a professor in a college town, and the students went to watch him dance, he was the main attraction and he was alpha of the murder, surely he wouldn’t need to dance.
Regardless it was an easy quick read that was enjoyable. I want to see more from the crows

I loved this one as an ebook but as an audio book the narrator blows it out of the park.
He brought Din and Ana to life. I loved the banter between the two, Ana's sarcastic wit and Din' s droll one were really brought to life
I can't wait to listen again and again

ARC provided by GRR.

I like this one, but I also think I wanted to like it more than I did. When I read the blurb it seemed right up my alley so I picked it up straight away.

Starting a new series can sometimes be difficult as the author has to set that world up and so I gave a lot a leeway for that. The world set up is interesting and I do like the characters, even the antagonist secondary characters. I liked the idea that there was a good side and a bad side to the vampires. I just wonder at there only being a small number of the good guys. But also after learning their strict rules, it became a bit more apparent why this was.

When we first met Eric I wasn't sure about him, we did meet him when he was avenging his partner so not his best moment, but he grew on me as the story went along. His back story took a little to come out and when it did I felt for him. I also felt that he moved on from being fearful of Sebastein to angry and unafraid of pretty much all vampires very quickly.

Zaine i liked. He did come across a bit sappy at times considering his was a 400 year old vampire but he was still a likeable character. He did do some questionable actions, especially trying to take on an older vampire without the help of the brotherhood and leaving Eric badly at one point, but once they worked it out they kept it as a team.

It was interesting about Eric's development, and to be honest I am now intrigued as to the rest of the side characters and the people they will end up with, how will some thaw, so I will continue the series.
