Great storytelling, slower pace compared to the 1st book. Also fewer Bible references.

I loved this book so much!
Tessa Afshar continues to entrance me into her beautiful, Biblical world.
My interpretation of the book:
Their survival and victory depends on a mysterious, disowned prince.
Afsher has one goal in his life: To kill his so-called father who just happens to be the king of Media. When he draws near Jemmah and her family, he starts to realise that perhaps his life can be more useful than searching for the death of the king.
As the two courageous young people progress their way to the victory and relationship, they come to face the fact that the Lord leads them in every single step. That the Lord provide people for certain reasons.
I was so happy to return to the Babylonian-Persian era with Daniel, Keren and Jared!
I loved every single page of it.
I hope there are more book based on this series!

When Jemmah's mother is kidnapped by the Median king, it is up to Jemmah to save her. Helping her mother escape the prison proved to be easier than expected but fleeing from the enemy and preparing for battle was the main difficulty of the journey.Their survival and victory depends on a mysterious, disowned prince.

I would first like to thank the author and publisher for sending me a free copy of this book for a giveaway. I am proud to be one of the few readers to have been given this book :)
The Peasent King is a sweet romance biblical fiction, and I recommend it to people who are Christians that like fiction!! This book was beautifully written and biblically accurate. There is a Bible verse at the beginning of every chapter, which I enjoyed.

"We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” - 2 Chronicles 20:12
Tessa Afshar cannot write a bad book, of that I am convinced. Every time I turn the last page of one of her stories, I pause and reflect on how big God is. Though the prequel story, The Hidden Prince, wasn’t my favorite, this one blew me away. I was flying through it and had to force myself to put it down. I would then proceed to pick it right back up three minutes later. Such an incredible, faith filled journey. Also, Asher and Jemmah are hands downs my favorite couple Tessa has ever written. THEY ARE SO FREAKING SWEET AND THE BANTER OHMAGOSH STOP

I really enjoyed following the daughter from the couple in The Hidden Prince. There was a moment in the book that talked about her fear. The way the father spoke to her about God being there for her was so moving. I really appreciate the time, the scriptures, and the care Tessa puts in her writing.
