My kind of book. I put this in the same category as [b:Why We Sleep|34466963|Why We Sleep Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams|Matthew Walker|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1556604137l/34466963._SY75_.jpg|55587034] and [b:Mindless Eating|129731|Mindless Eating Why We Eat More Than We Think|Brian Wansink|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1320482034l/129731._SY75_.jpg|124953] - other highly-researched books that explore health topics important for all of us. Lieberman takes an evolutionary approach to studying humans & exercise, but he also comes around to very practical suggestions for modern-day exercisers. A tad sluggish here and there, but overall very interesting.

Some insightful stuff but a lot of who cares research questions as well. Depends on the reader’s background

Not much more to the thesis than what is laid out in short synopses -- exercise has lots of health and longevity benefits probably because it mimics an activity level that we humans evolved to maintain. Enjoyed spending time in the evolutionary biology world though, and his citations are great.

Informative, interesting, easy to read. At the end, the lessons are fairly simple, but on a societal level worth repeating, and repeating. Now, get up and go for a walk, or a run if that's what you're into.
