Another great Lucas Davenport novel. This one has a nice little "leave ya hanging" at the end..... can't wait for the next in the series.

A bit more updated tech in this story, lol. Although I now see that it was published ten years ago. Meh. Not sure if I will continue with this series.

I was bored and it's not due to the book or Sandford. It's just that in 2024 none of this is shocking, novel, or different from what politics and politicians have proved to be.

Good read...not my favorite in the series, but a good book. As always the characters are great!! And the bad guys are great. This one has a couple of returning bad guys that you just gotta love. Still a little slow on this one with a lot of political stuff going on.

Not bad, but I didn't much care for the ending. It was suggestive, rather than conclusive, and left me feeling unsatisfied. It almost felt like he was setting up a sequel with the same villain.

While still an engaging Davenport story, this one had a little bit too much politics and bureaucracy for my taste. Davenport is called into help a conservative politician who is friends with the current Minnesota governor (who is a Democrat) who has been framed with some child pornography. The story is mildly interesting but compared to both later and earlier books in the series it's kind of bland. But it still has enough suspense and action to keep you turning the pages, especially towards the end.
