I love hockey, I love a hero with flaws, I love a book with a well written child in it and I love a happy ending that doesn't come easy. This book was my catnip.

i love Rachel Gibson's Chinooks books and I do believe I own most if not all of them. Her humor is fun the relationship felt real and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Just a light happy girly book. I cant wait for another one, lately Ive been super disappointed by some of my other go to authors, Im so happy that Gibson didnt let me down.

I got this book in with a bunch of other Avon romances. I wasn’t aware that it was part of a series when I picked it up and truthfully it read like a stand-alone.
This is a contemporary romance about second chances and growing up. I don’t think I’ve read a more realistic male lead in a long time. He is hot and knows it. He is an ass sometimes and knows that too. He doesn’t always know when or why he’s been an ass but in the end he figures most of it out. I like that neither are perfect.
A truly enjoyable read.

Enjoyable and light. Not my favorite, but worked more for my liking than Love and Other Disasters. I like reading her books, I just have to remind myself that I will not become enraptured with everyone of them and keep my expectations reasonable.

This is a hard one for me to review because whilst I enjoyed the story, I hated the main characters.
Sam and Autumn have avoided each other ever since that fateful week 6 years ago in Vegas. But when their eyes meet at a wedding Sam attends that Autumn has planned, everything changes.
Sam really annoyed me. He seemed to go out of his way to be as crass as he could be. I honestly can't believe what he said after the first time he and Autumn had sex again... could he really be that moronic?
I don't understand Autumn either. She's mad as hell at Sam for all these years and then now, yeah, friends with benefits sounds like a GREAT idea. Silly woman.
I'm glad there was a happy ending and I'm ecstatic that for whatever reason Sam decided to be there for Conner but to be honest, I sort of wanted Autumn and Sam to go their separate ways and find someone for themselves that was a better fit.
Vegas stories - or at least ones that have scenes in Vegas - are a personal favourite of mine and this was an enjoyable read.

I don't understand why all of a sudden Sam decides to be a more attentive father to their son. He's known about Conner since he was born and spends various weekends with him and yet it takes a chance meeting with Autumn to make him realize that he's been a rather pitiful father.Sam really annoyed me. This is my first time finishing a Gibson book and I found it entertaining, however too much of the book was spent building up to/setting up the romance. By the time the characters became romantically involved, nearly 2/3 of the story was done. The resolution came too quickly, rendering the hero and heroine's changes of heart slightly unbelievable, especially given how much of a douche Sam was throughout most of the book (and Autumn's only somewhat likable herself). However, I was intrigued and I generally liked the writing. I'll give another of her books a try sometime.

I just looked at when it was written. 2011. It was definitely written in it’s time. This was a difficult book to get through. This book wasn’t that great. There were parts I liked but mostly didn’t like. The MMC was a jerk. He was a deadbeat dad who decides to try be good at the end. And don’t get me started with their relationship. They were better as co parents then a romantic relationship. She deserves so much better than him. I felt sorry for what happened with his sister, but that doesn’t excuse he’s carelessness. This book had misogynistic and dumb comments. It also had some pick me vibes.
