Calamity Falls already has my early from the start
Fin and Callie are the definition of soulmates. It’s refreshing to see the man fight so hard for his woman. Fin loved Callie with everything he was. She loved him just as much but couldn’t get out of her own head and stop assuming things to let them have the HEA they both wanted. They each lived with broken hearts for 6 years until they finally got it right. Their love story was beautiful and heartwarming and I can’t wait to see what comes next in Calamity Falls.

This was my first book by Erika Kelly, but I definitely look forward to reading more from her. This was such a unique story full of heart and I absolutely loved it. I definitely do not agree with the world's worst boyfriend label. I so fell in love with these characters. I loved seeing their progression in their relationship and seeing everything develop between them. It was such a sweet experience. I was glued to the pages and was completely invested in this story.

For some reason I had downloaded this off KU and I have no idea why or where I found it.
I'm not completely sure if I liked either MC. She was asking too much and being unforgiving. He was being too dense and not listening to what she was saying. He was way too hung up on what his siblings thought of him and also her brother forgiving him didn't sit right with me.
I think I have a blind spot when it comes to siblings and what is acceptable from a sibling. I'm an only child so sometimes I feel like what I find OK and what others with siblings is different. Like part of me is confused why her brother didn't cut him off too. Like he hurt your sister surely that means something more than his friendship?
Anyway, I feel like she settled. I was so excited she went to New York was all good to do her own thing and then she flounced back after all that work and making a stand to her exes mum. BTW how she treated him sucked. I don't think he was a prize but it wasn't his fault she wasn't all in.
Romance itself was fine. Didn't feel super passionate as I was expecting but was OK.

Callie seemed immature for her age and experience...and the guise of World’s Worst Boyfriend plot was a little too forced. Some very slow parts and some light and fun, but in the end, this just didn’t really click with me.

Callie and Fin have so much chemistry and passion but they are not good at communicating. This story has lots of emotions and we get to witness Fin and Callie grow up as they realise they both made mistakes and they both need to make changes in their lives. The Bowie brothers are all too good to be true and I look forward to more of this series.

After reading Can't Help Falling in Love (the 5th book in this series), I had to go back and get the Bowie brothers' stories! Keep on Loving You introduces us to Calamity Falls and the Bowies, beginning with Fin, the youngest brother.
I very much enjoyed Fin's story. Especially how hard he loved, and how hard he tried to live up to his brothers. As the youngest daughter in my family, I was always trying to keep up with my older sisters, and I really empathized with Fin's desire to feel like he was a part of them. I also really liked Callie, athough there were times when I wanted to knock some sense into her (she was the queen of second, third, and fourth chances), although I could tell how much she loved Fin, and felt that he was worth the other shots.
I'm going to keep going with this series!

Fin is definitely NOT #WorldsWorstBoyfriend
This book had me waffling between love and not love. Fin and Callie were childhood sweethearts who had an epic crash and burn six years ago when Fin waited until moments before they were to leave for NYC for college to let Callie know he wasn’t going and was going off with his brothers. Devastated, she left without him. Then she saw him tagged on social media by multiple women, and blocked him completely out of her life. Six years go by, and they’re finally in the same place together for her brothers wedding. Callie brings her snooty Upper East Side boyfriend, while Fin makes it clear at the rehearsal dinner that he is still in love with Callie. The man-bracelet wearing snob dumps Callie in true jerk fashion, and Callie finds herself not only without a boyfriend, but kicked out of their apartment, and now with no fellowship as his family is on the board. Meanwhile, Fin finds he has become an internet sensation as a meme declaring him undeservedly the #WorldWorstBoyfriend. While he’s committed to winning back his girl, she’s desperate to win back the fellowship and uses the media frenzy from his meme as her opportunity.
Things I loved:
- how much Fin loved Callie. He was head over heels for that girl. For six years, he chased his adventure and his brothers, but never so much as kissed another girl. “In my mind, we never broke up.” It was refreshing to see a non manwh0re lead. He really thought if he gave her time, she’d come home and they’d be fine.
- I loved how the town folk came together to help Callie out. Lots of awesome community and supportive characters. Everyone became so invested in her project.
- Callie standing up to the snob’s mother and laying out the truth. Mic. Drop.
Things I didn’t like:
- lack of communication? I’m not sure really. I get that their breakup happened when they were still mostly babies themselves. But six years later and it was like this merry go round of the same situation. Also- six years? Really. He waited six years to make a move. Maybe because she has just finished school? Not sure. I also felt like I had to keep remind of myself that they were still only 23 years old, so their immaturity wasn’t too far fetched.
- I felt like her family was sort of crappy at times. Her mom and her brother both told her harshly to grow up already, and her brother was pretty crappy about her helping with his son while he was on his honeymoon. It seemed out of place and unnecessary. Supposedly she had mostly cut them all out of her life too, so it wasn’t as if they were tired of dealing with her drama over her heartbreak. Not if they hardly ever saw her. And if it was more of a “get over it already because we are tired of being cut out over it” they could have been less jerky about it or actually said something along those lines. It was odd.
- not gonna lie, Callie’s obsession with he fellowship annoyed me. Yes, it was definitely wrong for her to be cut out of the opportunity because of her ex’s family. I could definitely see wanting some retribution for that. But in reality, she would have found herself working alongside that jerky ex and his family. She went on and on about how it was going to take ten years for her to get experience, and she really thought dealing with them that long was plausible? Yikes. Calling them out on their shenanigans and then moving on herself with a much better option. She would have moments where she realized she was sad about missing her family and not even knowing her nephew, then went right back to saying she needed to be in New York for 10 more years. It wasn’t even really a job she enjoyed, so it was frustrating.
- while it’s sad that her sports career is over, I would have liked to see some blowback over the whole #WorldsWorstBoyfriend thing. She literally went on talk shows and led the public to believe Fin abandoned her. That was crappy.
Overall, the writing was great. The story was good. I liked that Fin finally had a necessary discussion with his brothers, and got his head on straight. These two were definitely meant to be together, and I’m glad they finally made it work.

I really enjoyed the overall story in this book, but the constant conflict made it hard for me to connect to either main character. This is a well written story and I do plant to read more books in this series. I really like the extreme sports aspect.

Beautiful Story!
The push and pull of soul deep love was amazing!
Watching them reconnect and then work through things as they figured out their TRUE paths in life that would make their souls happy and keep them connected was a lovely thing to “watch”.
The end with them at his birthday party was a beautiful full circle moment for them ❤️❤️
I can’t wait to get to the next book in the series and read more about the adventures of this family ❤️❤️
