I don’t know how to handle this. I don’t know how to say goodbye to these characters. This is one of those stories that’s going to stick with me for a long time.
I will literally never get over Scythe. He is one of the best characters I’ve ever experienced. And Vincent. I’m so glad they figured all their stuff out so Bliss and War can have both of them. My heart was shattering for poor baby War halfway through the book. I had tears during their reunion.
This was a beautiful story. I hope it’s continued. Partly because I want to see their family grow but MOSTLY BECAUSE REBEL? UM? HELP?
Please release a fourth book soon, thanks.

A hockey romance with absolutely no hockey in it. None. Not a single game. Not even a practice. Ugh.
It was fine I guess. I think because I started with Halsey’s book my standards were just too high. I really liked Winnie. And I really liked Pacey. At first. I will say that if I were Winnie, I would not have forgiven Pacey for what he did. It was a third act breakup we all saw coming from a mile away because as soon as there’s ever a secret at the beginning of the relationship we know we’ll be hearing about it around the 75% mark. Except Pacey took it waaay too far. Yikes.
Besides the main couple and the other four hockey players, all other characters were written as super one-dimensional. All Josh was was an asshole. All Katherine was was a true crime addict. And all Max was was gay. Couldn’t tell you a single other detail about them.
Overall this book was way too long. It could’ve been cut down at least 100-150 pages, in my humble opinion.

This was cute. I’m not the biggest fan of the pregnancy trope so I wasn’t expecting all that much but I actually enjoyed this. Posey continues to be my absolute favorite character and I hope he gets his own book soon.
Penny and Eli are both really great characters. There were times Penny’s rambling annoyed me and other times that I was laughing until I had tears, especially when she went through her crazy third trimester period. Eli’s background broke my heart but I loved her journey with Penny.
Again, I think this book was a little too long than it needed to be. A lot of buildup just for it to skip through the labor and any time with Holden, which was a bummer.

If a spicy novella has no plot, there really needs to be more, and decent, smut. This was a pretty boring read to be honest.

“‘The line will end with me, you fucking prick,’ Ruhn said into his father's mind, ‘because I yield my crown, my title, to the queen.’”
Oh. My. Holy. God.
I truly don’t know if I’ll ever recover from this book, this SERIES.
Can we start with that battle scene? We’ve experienced many a fight scene in the Maasverse, but I think this one has topped them all. I was on the edge of my seat, tears in my eyes, covered in goosebumps from beginning to end. The scene where Bryce sees Connor and Danika again? I was full. on. sobbing.
Let’s also talk about how Bryce and Nesta are such a badass pairing. No one will ever take Danika’s place, but I love that Bryce was able to break through Nesta’s very icy exterior and they formed a cute little friendship. Plus Nesta’s relationship with Ember? I cry.
Ruhn and Lidia continue to be my everything. And now Ruhn is the cutest little step-daddy and I am absolutely deceased. Lidia deserves the whole world. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW SHE NAMED ONE OF HER SONS AFTER BRANNON GALATHYNIUS? FROM THRONE OF GLASS? UM? ARE WE GOING TO BE SEEING AELIN NEXT???
Also Tharion, Declan, Flynn, ITHAN! God, I love every single side character so much. Our baby Ithan is the PRIME! Internally screeching forever. And goodbye, Sabine, rest in piss. Please I hope we get more Tharion/Sathia and Flynn/Ariadne in the next book. I need to see all my loves happy and thriving.
Also, Hunt was there! He continues to be my least favorite SJM male but I guess he wasn’t too bad in this book. A little spicier perhaps.
Overall, perfection.

I honestly did not think I’d love this book. I started the first book in the series and gave up after only a handful of pages. I heard better things about this book so decided to give it a chance and really didn’t expect much. And I. tore. this. up.
I can now proudly state that after Aaron Warner, Christian Allister is my #2 all-time favorite book boyfriend (#1 if we’re only counting NA books). And Gianna is one of my top favorite FMCs of all time.
Gianna is such a badass and I love her for it. She doesn’t take shit from anyone, especially not the dirty federal agent, Christian Allister. But for him, when it comes to Gianna, the boy is down bad. Taking deals with the Italian mafia just to be near her bad. Needs therapy because he’s so obsessed with her bad. Wearing her hair tie on his wrist for three years while she’s married to someone else had.
I’m scared to move onto the next book in case it doesn’t live up to this one. I think I’m gonna stew in my feels for a bit over this story that made me kick my feet and squeal like a child.

This was a decent read. A hockey romance with an interesting twist. There are some parts I didn’t mesh well with but there were definitely a lot of parts that I loved, and I tip my hat to the author for this being her first book. It was done very well!
I liked the true crime feels of this book. It’s nice to have a little bit of suspense/darkness to go along with a hockey romance. I also loved the flashbacks of Lonan and Birdie when they were kids and talking about marriage and how that came full circle later with the proposal and wedding. Lonan’s mouth was also a great part of the story, love a man who dirty talks.
Some parts of this book weren’t my cup of tea though. One of my favorite things about hockey romances is the relationships between the players. We really didn’t get to see a lot in Lonan’s story. He was mentioned to hang out with them a few times but we didn’t get to see much of the team dynamics. Also I think that Birdie and Lonan getting together the night before she confronts her family was a little much. I think the story would’ve benefited from having just his memories of her from when they were children. It kinda muddied things when they had that first meet up before the big reveal.
I also think Birdie was written a little all over the place with her feelings, she seemed way too level-headed when it came to figuring out about her abduction and meeting/falling into a routine with her new family but then later was written to be traumatized. I just had trouble following her thought processes.
Overall, a good read with a unique plot. I’m very interested to read more in the series.

Why did it take me so long to read this book? It’s been on my TBR forever but I think I expected it to be more like a Peter Pan storyline than just a book that uses names and terms from Peter Pan, which was preferable.
I really liked this! James is everything. He’s a walking red flag but Wendy and I happily ignored that and fell in love with him anyway. There were parts of this story that were a little unrealistic but the vibes were all there and it’s definitely a series I’m going to continue.
The narrator who voiced Hook did a phenomenal job. Loved his accent and just everything he did. The female narrator did a good job for Wendy but when she tried to do Boston accents for side characters they came out as this weird New York/Jersey accent that I just could not get past.

This breaks my heart. I am an avid Tahereh Mafi stan and no one compares with her when it comes to morally gray book boyfriends. Aaron Warner continues to be the #1 love of my life, and Cyrus is very high up on my list. And if we had more of Cyrus and Alizeh, the rating would’ve been a lot better.
To be completely frank, it was a 400+ page book that really only spanned 2.5 days. At least a third of that, if not more, was just summaries of the previous two books. There was almost no new information or advancement in the plot. There was barely any interaction between the two main characters. It was a lot of pretty words that really didn’t say anything.
I’m feeling kind of let down from the anticipation of this book. I wanted a Cyrus/Alizeh endgame and we barely even got Alizeh kinda sorta starting to feel things for Cyrus. The side characters, minus my baby Hazan, were pretty much completely useless and downright annoying.
I honestly feel as though I could’ve skipped this book, picked up the next one when it comes out and not missed a thing. Just, ugh. Unfortunate. I think my rating is also pretty generous seeing as I wanted to DNF at several points throughout the book but it hurts my heart to give one of my favorite authors anything lower.
